Greece’s national team registered a second victory, in as many Group matches, 2-0 over the USA, to punch their ticket to the Main Round.

Nevertheless, the hosts need to win their third game as well against Argentina tomorrow (June 22), to ensure they will enter the next round taking four points with them from the Group stage and edge closer to the quarter-finals.

Early in the first set, Greece took the reins withLadakis, Karagiozopoulos and Tsanaxidissetting the pacein attack and the Americans never really posed a threat.

The second set was much more balanced, but Ladakis scored with four seconds to go to give Greece a two-point advantage. The US coach called a time-out, but there was not enough time left for adecent shot.
