Greece and Denmark lead the race in Group A with five successive victories, therefore in the match between them on June 24, the first place will be at stake. Greece defeated the USA 2-0 in the morning match, and Spain 2-1 later one, while Denmark prevailed over Thailand and Portugal without dropping a set.

In third place lies Spain, after they beat Portugal 2-0. Thailand and Portugal trailwith two points after the former defeated USA 2-1, and the latterlost both their Main Round matches.

High-flying Germany, continuedtheir unbeatencampaign and are topping the standings with eight points, after they easily beat Argentina and Uruguay. The Netherlands recorded a great victory over Norway and are tied in second place along with Brazil to whom they lost 2-1.

Fourth is Norway, following their 2-0 win against Uruguay, who have yet to win a set in the Main Round.

Hungary won both Thursday’s games, over Vietnam and Mexico to go atop of Group C with four points. Mexicobeat Australia 2-0, and one set better than Vietnam, who defeated the Oceania team in the shoot-out.
