Poland achieved their first victory against Thailand as they won 2-0 in a Group A match in the junior women's category.
Thailand started the game better and was leading by 4 points but Poland then levelled up and came back to equalize. The end of the set was exciting as Thailand managed to take the lead with 1 point with 14 seconds to go, however Hoiody of Poland won a penalty which Celka did not miss giving Poland the 20-19 win in the first set.
In the second part, Poland was more focused and managed to dominate from the beginning and thus managed to win the second set, achieving their first victory in the competition.
