Argentina needed the shoot-out set to edge past a brave Ukrainian side, a result which put them above their rivals in the Group D rankings.
The Argentines easily won the first set, in which the even led by eleven (17:8), but the second set was more balanced. The Ukrainians hit with counterattacksand hadthe edge over Argentina to make it all square.
The Argentina team players, seemed more concentrated in the shoot-out to win it and bag two more valuable points.
