An extremely balanced game which was determined in the shoot-out.
Ukraine started well in the first set and took the lead from the beginning, which they kept it until the end, despite the pressure Brazil occasionally put on them. They Ukrainians managed to escape with eight points (20:12), which helped them win the set.
In the second set, Brazil improved their performance and despite the two consecutive missed penalties they had, they took the lead, but victory was not yet secured. Despite the missing shots the Brazilians celebrated in the end to send the encounter to the shoot-out.
Brazil missed in only one attempt in the third set to Ukraine’s three misses, to win the match.
