"A beautiful journey has come to an end. I thank the athletes for these wonderful games they offered us. We feel overwhelmed and full of emotions and pictures.

We experienced unique moments in the beautiful Crete, which gave birth to the Minoan civilization. Another myth was written in the same place these past few days not only for the winners, but also for every team team that participated in the World Junior Championships.

From the side of the Hellenic Handball Federation I would like to thank those who contributed to a successful event. Special thanks to the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Heraklion, our sponsors and of course all the athletes who participated.

A big applause also to the volunteers, as without them the event would not have taken place.

Next comes the Men's and Women's World Championships. I promise that these games will be even better and more exciting”.
