Greece beat Denmark 2-1and claimed the top spot of Group A, leaving the Danes, who suffered their first defeat in the tournament,behind them.

Spain finished in the third place after a hard-fought win against Thailand in the shoot-out. The lattermissed out a quarter-final berthafter Portugal’s win over the United States.

GROUP B

The biggest surprise of the tournament, so far, was Norway’s failure to reachthe quarter-finals. The 2019 viceworld championswere defeated 2-1 by Argentina,who grabbed the last available spot to the final-eight.

Germany easily won the group, with their victory over the Netherlands in straight sets, extending their undefeated streak.

A fourth win in the tournament for Brazil, 2-1 against Uruguay, awarded Selecao the second place in the group.

Hungary didn’t drop a single set in their second round matches to win the consolation group. Vietnam rallied past Mexico to claim the second spot.
