A golden goal scored by Tzanis Batis helped Greece defeat Uruguay 2-0 (21:20, 19:18) and finish in the 13th place in the final rankings, in their maiden appearance at a Beach Handball World Championship.
An incident with the injury of Papadopoulos, in the fourth minute of the second set, paused the game for ten minutes. The Greek player was taken to the nearest hospital, as a precaution, for further exams, but he’s in good in health.
